Mentors

Mentors
In the month of October I had an opportunity to go to the “Iron Sharpens Iron” -Woman’s Conference in Connecticut and the major speaker was
Elizabeth George, my favorite author. I couldn’t believe that I was there, finally so close to her with my heart and soul opened to the word of the Lord coming out of her. Needless to say, it was AMAZING.

I read her books since I was 15, and since then I have been blessed by her words, and passion to the Word of God, The Bible.

…So I was at the conference seated not even blanking just like other 3 thousand woman, and thinking…”oh boy, it would be soooooo good if I could get close to her and have her sign my book, or maybe if I could talk to her…” Well…after her main speech I went out of the chapel to buy one of her books, and I have the pleasure to meet Jim George, Elizabeth’s husband, and also a author of many books, and he told me that his wife would be signing books in a few minutes.

I was so excited at this point that my heart was beating fast and I couldn’t believe that I was about to have a chance to see her close to me. To make a long story short Elizabeth George came and signed my 3 books, talked to me, took a picture with me and gave me a hug J I was really happy.

After that we went to her smaller section and the little room was so packed that me and other 60 woman had to seat on the floor, and I set right at her feet.

It reminded me of the disciples walking with Jesus, they really wanted to be with Him and to learn from Him…I really wanted to be close to her, and to listen to her words. She is such a Godly woman and more mature in age and in faith than I am, so I wanted to get any and every wise word coming out of her mouth without waist. How wonderful is when The Lord gives us mentors, teachers, friends, people that bless us by their testimony and their faith. Thank You Jesus!
