pilates
After I have a baby I give myself a 2-month "grace" period to eat what I feel like eating (as long as it doesn't harm the baby, like 3lb of chocolate) and to not worry about it. Well, 2 months goes quickly when you have a newborn and a toddler.
It is time to go back to excercise, and to care about my food intake. For 9 years I swam in Brasil, and as much as I would looove to swim again, my current schedule just does not allow me to do so. So I have looking at some options, and one of my girlfriends suggested me pilates. I figured I'd try it out and see how it goes.
Sunday was my first day, today the second. I wonder how can a 22 minute work out, work me out like this?! Girlfriends out there, I know I just started but I do recomend, it is short, it is intense, and lots of fun. I know, you don't have time, space, videos, well, I borrowed mine, and because I already spend an hour a day at the gym running and doing weights, I have been doing pilates in my living room. Yup, and sometimes, with the best work out budy :]
ps* Julia saw me exercising and had a laugh attack, she kept saying "mama is silly and funny", and ran quickly to join me. After 2 sec she stopped laughing and said "too hard, it's too hard mommy, I'll go drink my sippy, lol.
Do you have an exercise routine? What works for you? xo

Sisters!
Do you have a sister? Well, if you
do, you know how much fun it is to grow up with a "partner in crime",
a bff for all times, and someone who can take the blame for you when it should
be yours, and someone who put the blame on you, when it should be theirs.
My sister Teka and I are 2 years and
3 months apart. I am sure I had a blast being an only child for those 2.3
years, but honestly I cannot remember my life without her. All my memories from
when I was little have Teka in them.
Two of the best things we used to do
as kids (this might be completely non sense to you, but it makes us laugh hysterically
to this day) was pretend that we spoke a different language at the mall, we
would carry on super long conversations with intense facial expressions to make
everyone believe we were speaking Somethinese, lol it always worked! And we
would play this game that we made up that one of us would start a song, and the
other had to jump in with another song, then the first one who started had to
stop singing and start another song. We did this for HOURS, especially in the
long car trips when our parents were visiting different Salvation Army Corps on
Sundays.
Mom and Dad, you deserve a crown just for tolerating this.
Teka, thank you for making my life,
THE LIFE. My journey would not have been the same without you. I love you my
little sister!

back at the blog!
I cannot believe that I have stayed away from my blog for a year! Many, many things have happened since I last wrote here, so I'm sure it'll take a while to share about our life and family. For now, the big important things that have happened are (in chronological order, lol);
My hubby and I have enteres the Salvation Army School for Officer Training (we'll get commissioned/grauate on June/2013), which means we are studying theology and being trained to become Officers/Christian ministers in the Salvation Army, a Christian church and organization (click here for more info http://www.use.salvationarmy.org/). More on that to come!
Our fun, talkative, funny, loving, energetic, clumsy, and beautiful daughter Julia is already 2!!! She is a tipical toddler, with an extra burst of energy. She loves to play dress up, to sing, and to HUG :] She is now potty trainned, and at night before bed asks us to pray for all her friends, family, and last night she included the kitty cat, the bunny and the lamp, yup, forgot to mentioned she is awesome with her imagination.
Julia is now a big sister!!! Yup, a month ago we fell in love with our sweet little Melissa. She was born December 19th, and she makes our family feel complete :]
See you next time :]
